posted 09/18/2008

In any game where a Game Misconduct occurs it is the responsibility of both coaches to complete a Game Misconduct Report. The report should include Game Misconducts assessed for both teams. The details should include the team, player #, player name & offense. The Game Misconduct report can be found in the On-Line Forms tab of the homepage.

Standings Change
by kevin hurley posted 01/09/2008

We have changed the Standings page of the website. You will notice that there is 4 position decimal in the Pts column of the standings table. This value is known as the McLaughlin Index. It is used to determine seedings for the playoffs and divisional standings. This method has been used for many years but we were unable to display it in the standings. Now everyone can see where they stand over the final weeks of the schedule.
The objective is adjust for situations where teams in a division have not played the same number of games.

a.       All Game Misconduct penalties occurring during a GBL game must be reported to the Vice President by Tuesday following the game by both coaches and the scorekeeper.
b.      Games are to be reported via the Game Misconduct report available on the GBYHL website under the On-Line forms tab. The form is password protected. The password is available from your Program Director.
c.       A list of players and coaches serving suspension resulting from Game Misconduct penalties will be posted weekly on the website.
d.      Coaches who allow ineligible player to participate in a GBYHL game are subject to Disciplinary action and a potential 1 year Suspension.
e.       Please refer to the GBYHL rules for suspension periods associated with Game Misconducts. Please note that Fighting & all Coach related Game Misconduct penalties are double the USA Hockey Rule Book per GBYHL rules.
